March is Brain Injury Awareness Month: Shedding Light on an Invisible Epidemic

March is officially recognized as Brain Injury Awareness Month, a time to increase public understanding of traumatic brain injury (TBI), support survivors and families, and highlight the critical need for education, advocacy, and access to rehabilitation services. Every year in the United States, an estimated 2.8 million people sustain a traumatic brain injury — contributing to hospitalizations, long-term disability, and death.
