New date, different venue, same purpose.
Laughter still will take center stage this fall as The Crumley House Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center announces a change in the date and venue for its 17th Annual Fall Fundraiser, Punchlines With Purpose.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, and will take place at The Brinkley Center, formerly known as the Millennium Center.
The evening will combine comedy, music, food and entertainment while raising vital funds to support individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries.

“We know changes like this may be an inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause our guests, sponsors and supporters,” said Guynn Edwards, Executive Director of The Crumley House. “At the same time, we are excited about the opportunity to bring everyone together at The Brinkley Center for what we believe will be an outstanding evening. Most importantly, the purpose behind this event has not changed. We are still coming together to support survivors of brain injury and the programs that help them live fuller, more independent lives.”
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in party casual attire for what organizers describe as a relaxed, fun-filled evening benefiting a life-changing cause.

Headlining the event is nationally recognized comedian Shawn Carter, whose debut comedy album, 100 Problems, reached No. 1 on iTunes and No. 7 on Billboard’s Comedy Chart. Carter later followed with his acclaimed release, Boston to Bristol.
In addition to live comedy, attendees can enjoy music and dancing from DJ Robbie, the return of the popular Wine Pull and Gift Card Pull, complimentary food and beverages including beer, wine, and a cash bar.
“We may have had to move the date and venue, but we certainly haven’t changed what this night is all about,” said Dr. Caroline Abercrombie-Baxter, Crumley House Board of Directors Chair. “Punchlines With Purpose is about bringing people together, having a great time and, at the end of the night, knowing we’ve made a difference for the people we serve. We hope everyone marks Nov. 5 on their calendars and joins us for a fun evening for a great cause.”
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support The Crumley House’s comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation programs, including physical training, cognitive rehabilitation, technology instruction, classroom activities, community re-entry opportunities and other services designed to improve quality of life for survivors of traumatic brain injury.
Any purchased tickets and sponsorships will remain valid for the new date/venue.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available for businesses, organizations, and individuals wishing to support the event. Organizers welcome donations of auction items.
