12th Annual Joggin’ for the Noggin! 5K and Pancake Breakfast a Success

The Crumley House welcomed nearly 400 participants on Saturday for its 12th Annual Joggin’ for the Noggin! 5K and Pancake Breakfast, continuing a beloved tradition that brings the community together in support of individuals living with traumatic brain injuries.

Under sunny skies and a brisk 48-degree morning, runners and walkers enjoyed ideal race conditions, with the scenic Appalachian Mountains of Northeast Tennessee providing a picturesque backdrop for the event.

Ryan Morris of Pippa Passes, Kentucky, claimed overall male honors with an impressive time of 18:05. Elizabethton’s Lili Lilly led the female field, finishing strong with a time of 20:52.

Complete race results, including all age divisions, can be found here: https://bit.ly/26JogginResults.

Following the race, participants and supporters gathered for The Crumley House’s famed pancake breakfast, which featured a hearty spread of pancakes, sausage, eggs, gravy, and biscuits—offering both nourishment and fellowship after the morning’s run.

“We had a tremendous event, and we appreciate all who turned out to support our mission of enhancing the lives of traumatic brain injury survivors,” said Executive Director Guynn Edwards.

Funds raised from the event will directly support the residential and adult day programs provided by The Crumley House, helping to ensure continued care and opportunities for those they serve.

“We must also thank our staff, sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible,” Edwards added. “Everyone worked really hard to create a memorable experience.”

Event sponsors included Ballad Health, ETSU Health, Holston Medical Group, Food City, Bristol Broadcasting, Eclipse Bank, Quint-C Pallet Company, Stafford Custom Graphics, and Mobility Plus.

Those who were unable to attend but would still like to support The Crumley House’s mission can make an online donation.
