The Crumley House

Guynn Edwards, Executive Director

Director2Guynn Edwards, MBA has served as the Executive Director of The Crumley House since 1993. Mr. Edwards, in conjunction with our Board of Directors is responsible for the day to day operations and future planning for The Crumley House among many other duties. Mr. Edwards has served on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Tennessee for the past 13 years and is a past President of the Brain Injury Association of Tennessee; he is the current Vice-President of the Long Term Care Coalition of Northeast Tennessee and is a member of the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators. In 2001, Mr. Edwards was among the first in the country to receive Certification as a Brain Injury Specialist-Level 1, through the American Academy of Brain Injury Specialists. That same year, he received certification as a Clinical Instructor for CBIS, Level 1 and Mr. Edwards is one of only two Clinical Instructors in the state of Tennessee. He has worked solely with brain injury survivors for the last 20 years. Mr. Edwards is a frequent presenter to regional and state conferences on brain injury, vocational rehabilitation, prevention, and family planning after brain injury. He has worked with many local schools, educators, counselors, and law enforcement agency’s in the development of programs to work with and recognize students with traumatic brain injuries. He is currently working with state and local officials to create or expand funding for survivors throughout the state of Tennessee.
